⚠️ Seasonal & Rural Cabin Notes
Our docks are typically available for guest use between Memorial Day and Labor Day, depending on water levels and weather. For safety and maintenance, docks or dock extensions are usually removed before October each year as part of standard fall preparation.
By booking, guests acknowledge that this home sits in the rural Maine woods, where nature is part of the charm:
🐭 Occasional mouse activity (especially in cooler months)
🕸️ Possible spider webs or ladybugs indoors
🪰 During the fall season, guests may notice an increase in flies and ladybugs. This is a regional occurrence common to the Moosehead Lake area. The home is regularly treated and cleaned, but some seasonal insects may still appear.
❄️ Snow & ice are common—use caution outdoors
We maintain the property to the highest standard, but part of what makes Big Moose Lodge special is its authentic connection to nature. 🌲🏡
🐾 Pet Disclaimer: If you are bringing a pet, a pet fee must be applied to your reservation to cover the additional cleaning required after your stay.

🛻 Trail Access Info
